Last but not least Swing Dancing...

For the last day of class we had a swing dance lesson. It was absolutely a blast! I loved every minute of it.(including Henry flipping me) It was also a great workout!!

The wave

For part of my workout I used the wave machine at the Wellness Center! Here are the results!!

Tennis

The first tennis outing for the year was on Wednesday about 5pm. I found some nice courts up north on 19th and had a rousing game of tennis. Most of the time I spent chasing wild balls that the other person was hitting. (the other person is more of a beginner but that sure gave me a good workout)

Volleyball

On Tuesday in class we played some volleyball. I really enjoyed the idea of 3 people teams because it really got everyone moving!!!

Strongest woman contest..

At the end of class on thursday we had a strongest individual competion. We had to move a large tire across Dakota Field...

A little Karate

In class on Tuesday April 17, 2007 we learned a little Karate from Shawn!! I really enjoyed it and learned how truely little flexibiltiy I have...

On Thursday in class we had Kristen from the Wellness Center take us through her kickboxing class. It was very fun and I really enjoyed it.

Sadly Shoveling in April

On Wednesday evening about 9 pm my roommate and I headed outside to take care of the snow problem we had on our front steps and driveway.

Wiffle Ball

A quick run

For my workout on March 21st, I did a little run!

Conditions: I ran at 7.8mph at 1.5 incline on the tredmill for 7 miles.
HR: 123-182 ( the average heart rate was 173)
I can't wait to start running outside!!!!

Ultimate Frisbee

Today in class we played ultimate frisbee! I wore my heart rate monitor for the games!

The heart rate for this blog was taken during the warm-up activities in class as well.

At the beggining of the warm up my heart rate was at 118 then it went up when we played the tag game to 158. At the end of the warm up it had dropped down to 115.

After I did the eliptical on Wednesday I did some abs. I was interested to see my heart rate while doing abs. I did 15 minutes of abs. The total amount of abs I did was 500.

I also did my second heart rate monitoring on Thursday January 18, 2007! After class I went to the Welness Center for my workout! My work out for the day consisted of running and some weight training. I wore my monitor only while running. I ran indoors and on the tredmill.

First Blog....

The first time I wore my heart rate to try it out was Thursday January 18th, 2007 in class. Chuck showed us a warm-up. The warm-up lasted about 15 minutes. The warm-up did do what it was suppose to and by the end of the 15 minutes I was ready for more strenous activity!
